Testing Contract Theory: a Survey
نویسنده
چکیده
Since the early seventies, the development of the theoretical literature on contracts has been nothing short of explosive. The study of more and more sophisticated abstract models has gone hand in hand with the use of the tools of the theory to better understand many ...elds of economics, such as industrial organization, labor economics, taxation, insurance markets or the economics of banking. However, it is only fair to say that the empirical validation of the theory has long lagged behind the theoretical work. Many papers consist of theoretical analyses only, with little attention to the facts. Others state so-called stylized facts often based on fragile anecdotal evidence and go on to study a model from which these stylized facts can be derived. Until the beginning of the eighties, empirical tests using actual data and ¤We thank our discussant Patrick Legros and Je¤ Campbell, Lars Hansen, Jim Heckman, Rob Townsend and Bruce Shearer for their comments. Modelling and Experimental Testing of Asymmetric Information Problems in Lease and Hire Contracts (Based on Contract Theory)
This article aims to study lease and hiring contract in the Iranian-Islamic setting and analyze the asymmetric information problem in these contracts. For doing this, we study the characteristics of lease and hiring contracts in Iran (real world experimental characteristics that recognized in other studies), using library method, then we mathematically model different aspects of asymmetric info...
متن کاملModeling and Numerical Analysis of Revenue Sharing Contract Based on the Stackelberge Game Theory
Considered supply chain in this article consists of one vendor and multiple retailers where the vendor applies vendor managed inventory. Considering vendor as a leader and retailers as followers, Stackelberg game theory is applied for modeling and analyzing this system. A general mixed integer nonlinear model is developed which can optimizes the performance of the system under revenue sharing c...

This article tries to justify the theory of ineffectiveness of Mora’a [1] the purpose of the article is to explore the theory together with its justification and to introduce it as a legal rule. In the article we make clear the difference between ineffectiveness of Moghoof [2] and Mora’a in both legal and consequential aspects, and when the theory of ineffectiveness of Mora’a can be applied? ...
متن کاملChoreographies and Behavioural Contracts on the Way to Dynamic Updates
We survey our work on choreographies and behavioural contracts in multiparty interactions. In particular theories of behavioural contracts are presented which enable reasoning about correct service composition (contract compliance) and service substitutability (contract refinement preorder) under different assumptions concerning service communication: synchronous address or name based communica...

Abstract This article aims to provide theoretical model for analyzing challenge of asymmetric information in the third sector of economy (which is the most important challenge, preventing the growth and development of third sector), using the theoretical foundation of contract theory and incentive theory with regard to the special characteristics of third sector derived by its special structur...
